About

I'm a sixth-year graduate student in political theory at Duke University, currently on the academic job market. My most salient current interests are in the philosophy of the social sciences, the theory of action, Heidegger, Aristotle, Bloch, Bhaskar, Bourdieu, and Hegel, particularly questions concerning phronesis and techne, rational choice theory, dialectical vs. non-dialectical theories of action, and so on.

I am also the lead editor of the upcoming issue of Polygraph: An International Journal of Culture and Politics, issue 24, "Resistance to Finance," on the possible political responses to the financialization of the world.

In my free time I enjoy playing shred guitar, cooking and intense socializing.
